Toledo Young Republican Club Seeks Advisory Opinion From Ohio Elections Commission
TOLEDO, OH — The Toledo Young Republican Club has requested an advisory opinion from the Ohio Elections Commission following the passage of a number of property tax levies in Lucas County on November 4, 2008.

After months of partisan lawsuits and years of nasty attacks on Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, the Ohio Republican Party has finally tipped their hand. Ohio Republicans are trying to destroy our election system just to win an election.
In fact, the Ohio Republican Party has declared war on Ohio’s bipartisan voting processes.

Considering the amount of attention the allegation that someone at a McCain/Palin rally yelled “Kill him” in reference to Obama created in the media and the blogosphere, you’d think that reports from Secret Service including interviewing other people who were there, uncovering that there is no evidence that was true would also get media attention, but it’s not. Only a few media outlets are reporting:

You will notice on your side bar to the right that there is a new feature, it was provided to be able to share some of the thoughts on the convention by current Ohio Treasurer Rich Cordray who is also running for Attorney General. The audio blogging is also on his website but I asked for and was given an embed code to put it here on GCJ.

The videos for the We will not be silenced done by Gigi Gaston that are said demonstrates fraud in the Democratic Presidential Primary are now online.

I was really surprised that this story didn’t get much coverage in the blogosphere, the only post I found on BNN/Ohio was from The Daily Briefing:

A few stories caught my eye that I wanted to point out. First, did you think that with the welcome mat not being out for lobbyists that the Democratic National Convention would be different this time?

Back in March during the primary season, it was discovered there was a calendar error made by the General Assembly so that anyone who had problems with their candidate petitions could not run as a write in candidate. The deadline for write in candidates ended before the deadline for candidate petitions. There was no huge fuss, though it affected a few of us. Now? There is a five day over-lap between the date where voter registration ends and absentee ballots can be done in person.
