Legally, the SCOTUS must declare gay marriage to be legal throughout the United States

The 14th Amendment is really quite clear. No law may be passed which pertains to one group of law-abiding citizens of the United States, which does not apply to others. Here is how "Section 1." of the 14th Amendment reads from the Cornell University Law School:

Europe thinking about making English its official language

I just returned from an extended business trip to Europe. If you haven't traveled there, you might be surprised to learn that English is the unifying language. Very seldom did I run into a social or business situation where the European with whom I was interacting couldn't communicate in English.

As everyone remembers D Day

Today I've seen a lot of people talking about the landing of D Day.

It is in an important event. One that showed the difficulty in the mission and the sacrifice so many have been willing to make for so many more. However, every year I hear about the landing it reminds me of so much more.

Would this man be justified having shot two officers?

Republic of Ireland Approves Gay Marriage

In a nationwide referendum, Ireland voted to make marriage legal between any two people regardless of gender. This is most notable for a variety of reasons. When polled, over 80% of the people of Ireland claim that they follow the Catholic faith. On the eve of the vote, several Catholic church leaders pleaded with their parishioners to defeat this referendum.
