Some are calling Toledo Councilman Frank Szollosi’s proposed legislation a “deal killer” that would require workers hired for the Marina project to be from local unions. Fox Toledo reporter Shaun Hegarty was at the earlier Toledo City Council meeting. The letter the Mayor wrote to Council is on their website.
“The public has an investment and we owe it to the men and women of local labor who give so much to our community in taxes, and so many other ways the opportunity to bid on this work and receive it,” Councilman Szollosi said during Tuesday’s session.
