This article published Wednesday, November 19, 2008 entitled, “Finkbeiner eyes 5-cent tax on each plastic store bag in Toledo, Merchants may tack on extra penny” (By Ignazio Messina, Blade Staff Writer)... “duh mayor,” bless his greedy liberal (read as, flaming democrat) heart just had yet another larcenous brain fart...

In an article published Tuesday, November 18, 2008 entitled, “Finkbeiner proposes a 'green' bond issue, Mayor suggests funds for infrastructure work” (By Ignazio Messina, Blade Staff Reporter), it appears that “duh mayor” had found yet another tax that he seems incapable of resisting...

Rant #3, “City of Toledo puts fire, police classes on indefinite hold”

This (also Sunday Nov. 16th) article in the Blade, “City of Toledo puts fire, police classes on indefinite hold,” by Laren Weber, Blade Staff Writer, touches more on the personal. So, rather than heavily quoting from the article, I will trust you to read it and then come back here for my take on this fine kettle of mayoral fish (and more than a little dirt).

Some "Idle Thoughts”

(A collection of bits & pieces, recently inspired while playing on the computer with the TV on in the background...)I'm in love with Sarah Palin.1. She's HOT2. She's Intelligent3. And, she's “The Girl Next Door”Besides for purely political reasons (and the MSM's savaging of her), who wouldn't be?And, THAT's what scares “them...”-- What is we elected the Supreme Court Justices? Could we possibly be any better or worse off than we are right now?--

More Perplexing City (or should I say mayoral) Nonesense...

In this Toledo Blade entitled, “Toledo to cut 11 to 13 cadets in police class,” duh mayor's fuzzy math again rasies its ugly head.http://www.toledoblade.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081107/NEWS16/81...Let's see if I've got this picture right. We're (well, actually duh mayor) going want to cut the number in the new (that'll be the day) Police class from a miserly 33 cadets down to 20-22.-while simultaneously-boosting the equally miserly fire class from 25 to 40 cadets/recruits.The apparent reason:

Re: Toledo's proposed version of “Musical Chairs” Garbage Collection...

Today's Toledo Blade reveals the City's hilariously puzzling story of a “Musical Chairs” version of garbage collection in the story entitled: “Toledo council may rotate trash pickup over holiday weeks,” but which raises several questions without providing any meaningful clarifications or answers. So, let's dig right in...

A call to Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Levin, Ramsey, Coulter (indeed, All Influential Conservatives). . .

Comrades, It is the (RED) dawning of a new day in Amerika, your mission is clearI call on all conservatives of influence to band together, forge alliances and to craft a new party, devoted to the purest conservative ideas/ideals, and to preach pure conservatism to them asses.I humbly suggest it be a Conservative University without walls, an Internet University, devoted to re-enlightening the old and teaching the young.

More Money Than Brains...

You know what I'm talkin bout. Those among us who, say for example, voted for the (illegal) COSI levy on the grounds that their out of town grand kids just love COSI...So I axes them*, “why would anyone in their (or anybody others, for that matter) right mind vote to tax all of the property owners in Lucas County to pay to support a private business?”They said, “it's for the (out of town) grand kids; that's it, no more (or relevant) justification needed. What ever happened to an An Informed (and intelligent) electorate???
