Former Pilkington land site of proposed casino

COLUMBUS — Toledo riverfront property could become home to one of four Ohio casinos if voters approve the latest attempt to legalize Las Vegas-style gambling in the state.

The owners of Toledo’s Raceway Park and the Cleveland Cavaliers filed language for a proposed constitutional amendment with state Attorney General Richard Cordray on Wednesday, the first step in the process of putting a question on the Nov. 3 ballot.

They’ll need more that 400,000 valid signatures from registered voters to qualify for the ballot.
